Saskatchewan is celebrating the contributions of its public works professionals by declaring May 20- 26, 2018, as Public Works Week.

This year’s theme, “The Power of Public Works,” highlights the enormous and beneficial impact public works has had on our modern civilization. It is the 58th year that public works officials in Canada have raised awareness of their work and the commitment of their profession to building a better life for everyone across Saskatchewan and Canada.

“It’s important that we all recognize the role of public works in society, and how the profession has been a key contributor to our way of life,” Central Services Minister Ken Cheveldayoff said. “We all depend on the infrastructure that public works professionals not only design and build, but manage and operate for all of our benefit.”
