Biography

Ken Cheveldayoff calls Saskatoon Willowgrove home, where he and his wife Trish raised their two adult children.  Deeply rooted in family values, Ken is both an entrepreneur and dedicated public servant with a long history of community involvement.  Ken was first elected as the MLA for Saskatoon Silver Springs in 2003. He was re-elected in the 2007 and 2011 provincial elections. With the changes in provincial boundaries, he was elected in 2016 and again in 2020 and 2024 as the MLA for Saskatoon Willowgrove.

Since the Saskatchewan Party formed government, Ken has served as a Cabinet Minister taking on a wide range of portfolios including Crown Corporations, Economy, Environment, Water Security Agency, First Nations and Métis Relations,Sask Gaming Corporation, Parks Culture and Sport, Minister responsible for the Provincial Capital Commission and Minister of Central Services, as well as serving as Government House Leader.

Ken has B.A. (Honours) in Economics and Political Science and a Masters of Business Administration.  Prior to being elected, Ken worked with Western Economic Diversification assisting individual businesses and industries to grow and expand.

As a passionate advocate for the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital, Ken is also known for working toward the future growth and development of Saskatoon Willowgrove. 

With education being a priority for his constituents, he is excited about the 4 new schools scheduled for construction.  His passion for students makes his new appointment of Minister of Advanced Education a great fit. He is deeply humbled to be appointed as Minister of Advanced Education is looking forward to taking on his new responsibilities, addressing the opportunities and challenges that face Saskatchewan Advanced Education.

Ken is dedicated to public service and is honoured to continue his service to the people of Saskatchewan.
