Enjoy the many activities happening in Saskatoon this weekend!
SMALL TOWN FEELING IN THE COMMUNITIES OF OUR CONSTITUENCY OF SASKATOON SILVER SPRINGS!
Growing up as many of you did, in small towns, we have benefited from a strong sense of community. I know that in my home town of Blaine Lake I felt that way. Well, this week I had the pleasure of attending a few annual meetings and registration nights of the Willowgrove University Heights Community Association, the Evergreen Community Association and the Erindale Arbor Creek Community Association.
I left the events feeling a great sense of community pride. At every gathering, one thing was evident ... the "small town" feeling right here in Saskatoon. It was incredible to see the many volunteers commit to work hard to make our communities a better place. Families came together to volunteer, register and visit with their friends and neighbours. This is our Saskatchewan...people caring about others.
I sincerely thank the ongoing efforts of our many community associations and the selfless volunteers throughout our community who provide families with the opportunity to participate in many activities and events. I am so proud to be part of the tradition of family, friends and community spirit in our growing multi-cultural and vibrant constituency. It is indeed humbling to serve you in the legislature. Together, we will build strong communities and keep Saskatchewan strong.
