Remember the service of our veterans who have sacrificed for our freedom
ANNUAL SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE HONOURS PUBLIC VETERANS
It is always a special day at the legislature when we have the opportunity to honour our public service veterans. I was pleased to join my colleagues to show our appreciation and remember the public servants who have given their lives and those continuing to serve their country today. I lam looking forward to attending the service of remembrance to be held in Saskatoon November 11. Please see coming events for information.
Deputy Premier and Minister responsible for the Public Service Commission Don McMorris along with Provincial Secretary Nadine Wilson joined dignitaries and representatives of the provincial public service November 4 to lay wreaths in remembrance of those who sacrificed their lives serving our province and country. The wreath laying took place as part of the province’s annual Service of Remembrance for the Public Service.
“Today reminds us of the thousands of women and men from across Saskatchewan and Canada who gave their lives to keep us safe,” McMorris said. “We must never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice, nor their family members and friends who they left behind.”
The service took place in the Legislative Building’s rotunda. Following the service, the Provincial Secretary laid a wreath at the Saskatchewan War Memorial.
