Our economy continues to attract people, investment & job growth
KEEPING SASKATCHEWAN STRONG
Premier Brad Wall: "Saskatchewan's diverse economy continues to create new jobs, attract new investment and support a growing population." Credit for Saskatchewan’s strong job growth goes to the people, the businesses, the entrepreneurs of our great province. Our government has worked to help foster that growth by creating a helpful, not harmful, business and investment climate where job growth can thrive.
Healthcare remains a priority for our government. Since 2007 we have:
- 500 more doctors and 3,000 more nurses practicing in the province.
- the shortest surgical wait times in Canada ... since introducing the Saskatchewan Surgical Initiative in 2010, the number of patients waiting more than three months for surgery is down 80 per cent and the number of patients waiting more than six months is down 92 per cent.
- doubled investments in hospital projects including the new Children's Hospital right here in Saskatoon and hospitals in Moose Jaw and North Battleford.
