Honouring Saskatchewan Workers Who Lost Their Lives Due to Their Work
ONCE AGAIN, OUR COMMUNITY SHOWS WARMTH AND COMPASSION!
After walking miles going door to door recently, I thought I was in pretty good shape. Well, if you haven't tried a spin class, I encourage you to do so! It was quite the workout! I was thrilled to participate in the 1st Spin for Quinn fundraiser.
Andrea Vogel, an instructor at Mawson Health and Fitness thought it would be a great idea to do a fundraiser for The Quinn Stevenson Memorial Athletic and Spirit Trust. She came up with the catchy moniker Spin for Quinn. Trevor Mawson (owner) was totally on board. Andie, with the help of Janet Uchacz-Hart at Mawson, took Andie's idea and made it reality. Herc’s Nutrition participated offering free drinks and selling protein bars with the proceed going to the Trust Fund. The 1st Annual Spin for Quinn was held on April 23rd, 2016.
It was a great day of fun, fitness, and fellowship. 130 people registered to take a class or two for $20.00 with many other people offering donations. All of the instructors donated their time. Once again, the Stevenson family was extremely humbled by the fantastic support they have received from the community. $2500 was raised at the 1st Annual Spin for Quinn.
Bonny, Craig and Shea were overwhelmed with support from friends and the community and thank everyone who participated and donated to this event.
