GIFT CARDS AREN'T ALLOWED TO HAVE AN EXPIRY DATE
Gift cards are a simple, no-fuss way to show your friends, family and coworkers a little holiday cheer.
Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority (FCAA) sees a rise in calls and complaints about gift cards after the holiday season has concluded. Consumers often have concerns about usage limits and expiry dates.
Consumers are also advised to use their gift cards quickly. If a company goes out of business, it may be hard to get a refund or any value for the card.
