It was a pleasure to attend the BATC-EnviroWay Partnership Agreement Ceremony last week.
On behalf of Don McMorris, Minister Responsible for First Nations, Métis and Northern Affairs
and the Government of Saskatchewan, I had the opportunity to thank both the Battlefords Agency Tribal Chiefs and EnviroWay for bringing us together for this ceremony.
We celebrated the shared commitment of BATC and EnviroWay to an environmentally and economically sustainable business model and a partnership that helps build a better future for Saskatchewan communities.
This includes stewardship of our land and water and improving our environmental impact fundamental to EnviroWay. The celebration is a made-in-Saskatchewan example of economic partnership and economic reconciliation.
In closing, I expressed my sincere gratitude to both BATC and EnviroWay for recognizing the power of collaboration and the potential of working hand in hand to achieve common goals.

Scattered showers across the province paused harvest for a short time, but producers welcomed the moisture. Saskatchewan crops are nine per cent harvested this week, ahead of the five-year average of eight per cent and the 10-year average of five per cent.
