What a great honour on behalf of Premier Scott Moe, to present Brett Kissel with an Honourary Saskatchewan Resident certificate.
Platinum-selling country singer Brett Kissel was excited to begin the next leg of his cross-Canada tour last night, February 2 at the Conexus Arts Centre. It was an incredible concert and Brett's passion for Saskatchewan was displayed throughout the night to the enthusiastic crowd in attendance.

THE 22ND ANNUAL KING OF KOVBASA AN OUTSTANDING SUCCESS
It was a pleasure to join almost 900 people at the King of Kovbasa held at Prairieland Park. The event was a huge sucess thanks to the Ukrainian Canadian Professional and Business Association (Saskatoon Branch) (UCPBA)., the sponsors and entertainers . King of Kovbasa features local sausage (or kovbasa) makers to feature their product.
What a great taste sensation of gourmet sausages from around our province The enthusiastic crowd voted on their favourite and at the end of the evening the King of Kovbasa was crowned!
This event is a highlight in Saskatoon's entertainment community every year. Not only does it attract Ukrainian fans, but it also is a yearly event for all citizens. A silent auction is featured as well as local dance groups, musicians, celebrity guests and of course, the kovbasa! At the end of the evening, participants take part in an auction where incredible items are featured, including trips and unique products or services.
Curtis Kimpton was fortunate to win the bid on the Ukrainian flag signed by soldiers on the front line in the war along with their unit badge . (pictured above)
There were also several generous door prizes which amazed each guest. Proceeds raised each year are donated to a local charity or organization in Saskatoon.
